The person behind MLB player Willie Calhoun’s successful career is his parents, father Willie Calhoun Sr., and mother Monica. 

Willie Calhoun is a professional baseball player who currently plays as a left fielder for the Texas Rangers in Major League Baseball (MLB).

He was born on November 4, 1994, in Vallejo, California, and grew up in a family of athletes.

Calhoun attended Benicia High School in California and was named Solano County Athletic Conference Player of the Year in his senior year.

He then played college baseball at Yavapai College before transferring to the University of Arizona.

The was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2015 and spent three seasons in their minor league system before making his MLB debut on May 23, 2017.

However, he only played in one game before being sent back down to the minors.

Calhoun was traded to the Texas Rangers in July 2017 as part of a package deal for pitcher Yu Darvish.
