The Rangers legend Brian Leetch and Mary Beth Leetch tied the knot in 1999. Since then, the couple has remained lowkey, except in 2018 when Mary Beth was involved in a bar fight, tarnishing the Leetch family’s reputation.
If the first thing that appears about your wife on the internet when you search her name happens to be a bar brawl, it’s not a good look.
The Leetch family has moved on from that controversy, with Brian not mentioning the incident during his interviews.
Today announced that member Brian Leetch will be inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2026.

Leetch spent 16 of his 18 seasons with the Rangers, winning his one and only Stanley Cup with the side in 1994.
The defenseman spent his twilight years hopping from one team to another before announcing his retirement in 2007.
Unlike some of his former teammates and rivals, Leetch hasn’t joined the broadcasting world and currently lives in Boston and coaches his youngest son.
Mary Beth Leetch Name-Dropped Her Famous Husband During A Bar Fight In 2018
Mary Beth Leetch, a woman who had stayed away from the limelight for several years, made headlines in some of the biggest newspapers for attacking three people.
In 2018, Mary Beth and her sister, Tracy Murphy, were charged with attacking three employees at Brandy’s Piano Bar on May 12, 2018.
On December 12, 2018, shared photos of Mary appearing at Manhattan Criminal Court as she hid her face from the cameras.
Their lawyers said the ladies left the scuffle with injuries similar to the ones described by the bar staff.
The sisters were charged with assault, attempted assault, criminal mischief, and harassment.
Mary also name-dropped her famous husband and police commissioner, James O’Neill, during the brawl. She alleged said,
I have friends who are cops. I even know the commissioner.
via:reported that the brawl began when the sisters and their third gal pal refused to pay their $33 tab. later reported that it was because of their loud singing.
One of them grabbed Maria Gentile, the waitress, by her hair and dragged her out.
Murphy later threw her phone at one of Gentile’s friends, who had followed the waitress outside to help her.
In January 2019, Mary Beth and her sister, Tracy, scored a no-jail plea, requiring them to attend five sessions of solo counseling.
Since this controversial incident, Mary has stayed lowkey and is available on but has her account in private mode.
Brian And Mary Beth Leetch Have Raised Three Kids And One Of Them Is Ready To Follow In His Dad’s Footsteps
After dating for several years, Brian tied the knot with Mary Beth in June 1999 at Chatham Bars Inn.
Brian and Mary’s first child, Jack Leetch, was born in 2000 and graduated from Boston College in 2026.

Brian and Mary’s second child, their daughter Riley Leetch, is currently a student at Virginia Tech and will graduate with a public relations and advertising degree in 2026.

Brian and Mary’s third child, Sean Leetch, was born on September 20, 2005, and is following his dad’s footsteps.
He for the NV River Rats 19U team in the Beast 18U league.
Last season, he played for the Boston Jr Eagles U18 AAA team and Dexter Southfield School.
Sean is available on and has shared a few photographs of him in his hockey gear.
Only time will tell whether Sean can break into the NHL like his dad and become a hockey legend.
