The tragic passing of basketball star Drew Gordon at the untimely age of 33 left a profound void in the lives of his beloved wife, Angela Santoro Gordon, their three sons, and the entire family.

Drew Gordon lost his life on May 30, 2026, in a traffic collision in an unincorporated area of Clackamas County, Oregon.

Nearly a year has passed since the former NBA and G League star’s death, but his wife Angela remains heartbroken and often reflects on the cherished memories they shared.

Drew Gordon was an amazing husband to his beloved wife, Angela Santoro Gordon, and a great father to his three sons, Jayden Gordon, Zayne Gordon, and Brody Gordon.

Furthermore, the late Drew Gordon and Angela Santoro Gordon were happily married for nearly five years. The couple tied the knot in 2019.

Prior to their marriage, Drew Gordon was already a great father to his eldest son, Jayden Gordon, whom he shared with his former wife, Stephanie Owens.

Although she didn’t pursue her career in sports like Drew Gordon, Angela Santoro Gordon won the hearts of many while playing soccer in high school and college.

Born and raised in a small town near San Jose, California, Angela Santoro Gordon began her athletic journey at the age of three, playing with her father, Louis Santoro.

Furthermore, Angela was a four-year starter for the NCAA Division I San José State University (SJSU) Women’s Soccer Team from Fall 2008 to Fall 2011.

She also captained the team for two consecutive seasons (2010 and 2011) and was a four-year member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), playing a key role in representing fellow athletes and helping shape student-athlete policies in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC).

Similarly, Drew Gordon’s wife, Angela, was a Four-Time All-WAC Scholar Athlete, a Dean’s Scholar, and a two-year member of the National Merit Society.

Angela graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies and a minor in Radio, Television, and Film.

During her college years, she also interned with Cal Hi Sports, a Bay Area high school sports show, where she honed her skills behind the camera, learning to shoot, write, edit, and produce segments.

Although Angela didn’t pursue her career as an athlete, she continued to build her career in the sports field, working as a sports reporter.

After graduation, she began her career as a sports reporter working with Get Sports Focus as a weekly host and reporter.

Angela further worked as a sports anchor and reporter at her alma mater, San Jose State University, and worked as a sports reporter at KSBW for nine years.

Her most notable career as a sports reporter includes working as an anchor and reporter for WMDT 47ABC in Salisbury, Maryland.

However, Angela paused her reporting career to focus on her career as a real estate agent.

She currently works as a Coldwell Banker real estate agent in California and as a Leisure Concierge for Valerie Wilson Travel.
