DeShawn Najera, a promising young footballer and a dedicated member of Santa Elena Royals United FC, passed away at the age of 15.
He was also involved in the Belize Police Department’s Police Cadet Corps, showing his commitment to both sports and community service.
Tragically, DeShawn lost his life in a drowning accident in the Macal River.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his drowning.
