Professional Rodeo Judge Clayton Macom from Stigler, Oklahoma Passes Away at 60!

A former bull rider and professional rodeo judge, Clayton Macom, passed away at the age of 60, leaving the PRCA community in deep grief.
Clayton Macom was a notable figure in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), where he spent many years contributing to the sport.
During his time with the PRCA, he built a lasting legacy as a cowboy, competitor, official, and mentor, one that will live on in the sport he loved so dearly.

Born on December 26, 1965, to parents Charles Macom and Claudine Macom, Clayton passed away on January 13, 2026, at age 60, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Clayton was originally from Stigler, Oklahoma.
While the exact cause of his death has not been disclosed by the family, it is known that in the past few weeks, he had been battling several health issues.
His death was confirmed by his daughter, , and the PRCA community via Facebook posts, where both shared heartfelt messages.
Following Macom’s passing, not just his family and the rodeo community, but also the people of Oklahoma who knew Clayton appear to be mourning.
Processing the loss and reflecting on his memories, one of his admirers share heartfelt post on Facebook about sharing moments with Clayton, writing;
Heaven has added a great cowboy today. Clayton Macom was a mentor and someone I looked upto during my rodeo days. I have tremondous respect for him. Not only a great man, he could ride any bull they put under him. He made some of the most miraclous rides I have ever seen in person. Always smiling and seem to never have a bad day. It is an honor to have known him and even pulled his rope a couple times. Tell next time my friend.
While many have expressed their sorrow and sympathy to the Macom family, Clayton is now remembered in the hearts of his loved ones.
He is survived by several of his children, including Colt Macom and Savannah Ty Macom, and his wife, Laura.
Moreover, Clayton Macom’s service visitation is set to be held at Mallory Chapel in Stigler from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 19, 2026, at the Stigler First Assembly of God Church with Rev.
As everyone processes the loss, we would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the Macom family, friends, and all who knew Clayton.
