Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta drops captain and forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the North London Derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur. 

Arsenal’s head coach Mikel Arteta dropped his trusted captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the bench before the game against Tottenham Hotspur in the Emirates Stadium. 

Why was the decision regarding Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made?

Multiple reports have emerged regarding the shocking decision by Mikel Arteta. According to various sources, Arteta dropped Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang due to Aubameyang’s breach of disciplinary protocols. 

Arsenal Football Club found Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to have broken the match-day protocols of not arriving on time for the team meeting. 

Despite being the captain of Arsenal football club, coach Arteta doesn’t accept any compromisation.

As of now, there are no concrete reports regarding the full story of the exclusion of Aubameyang. 

In the pre-match interview with , the reporter asked Arteta about the omission of his captain. Despite being asked a straightforward question, Arteta answered the problem with a lot of diplomacies. 

Furthermore, Arteta revealed that the club had drawn a strict line regarding different rules. 

He went on to say that the club follows a strict protocol that everyone must follow.

“We have a process for every game that we have to respect. It was a decision made after evaluating everything and who Auba is and what he’s done.”

Arteta’s comments hint that this isn’t the first time the Gabonese forward has been late for a meeting.
