Oziyah Sellers, a rising star in college basketball, showcases his skills as a dynamic junior guard for Stanford University.

He played limited minutes at the University of Southern California (USC) and then transferred to the Cardinal, where he quickly emerged as a key player.

He solidified himself as the team’s second-leading scorer this season, averaging 13.7 points per game and shooting over 40% from three-point range.

Oziyah proved himself as one of the most reliable shooters in the Pac-12. He is an excellent outside shooter and a strong perimeter defender.

Recently, he made a significant career move, declaring for the 2026 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility by entering the NCAA transfer portal.

His strategic decision has drawn significant attention, with NBA scouts closely evaluating his potential and elite colleges competing for his commitment should he return to college basketball.

His future looks bright as he continues to elevate his game, whether he lands in the draft or continues his collegiate career elsewhere.

First, I thank God for placing me in the position i’m in today. I wouldn’t have wanted my story to be written any other way. Thank you to all my family, friends, coaches, and teammates for your unwavering support throughout my basketball career. It takes a village and i am truly grateful.
After many prayers and discussions with those in my circle, I’ve decided to enter the 2026 NBA Draft while maintaining my college eligibility, as well as planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

A committed mentor is usually the driving force behind every rising basketball star, and for Stanford standout Oziyah Sellers, that person is his father.

One of the highlights of my night last night, they came out to support ,had the privilege of being their basketball coach from knee high until high school,so proud of the young men, never would have imagined they’d all be over 6’5 🙏🏾

Karim is a lifelong hoops enthusiast who has spent years . He instilled the same discipline and work ethic that helped his son excel at the collegiate level.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes fundamentals, mental toughness, and player development, which has influenced Oziyah’s growth into a Pac-12 standout and NBA Draft prospect.

Karim’s impact extends beyond the hardwood. He is a skilled barber and hairstylist who blends artistry with mentorship.

His shop, New York Barber Lounge, had become a space for conversations about basketball, life, and success, allowing him to connect with athletes and community members.

However, he had to close his shop during the 2026 pandemic.

Four years ago on today’s date I closed my barbershop down “New York New York barber lounge” during the pandemic alot of blood Sweat an tears an plenty of laughs an some crazy stories where told in this place but my next venture will be even bigger.

For Karim, basketball and barbering are more than just jobs. They’re ways to build relationships, inspire confidence, and shape futures.

As Oziyah navigates his next steps, whether in the NBA or the transfer portal, he does so with the lessons and support of a father who has mastered the art of coaching and craftsmanship.

I can’t preach the Standard to my kids if I’m not being the “Standand” got done with last client last night at 11:30 up at 4am in the gym 6am just finished beating these weights up. What’s your morning looking like smh “And you want to be great.” We coming.

Karim often shares his children’s accomplishments on social media.

On the other hand, Oziyah hasn’t talked much about his mother. While Karim Sellers has been a visible force in his basketball journey, his mother has played an equally vital, though far more private, role in shaping the rising star.

Preferring to stay out of the spotlight, she has been the steady presence behind the scenes, offering unwavering support, wisdom, and balance in her son’s life.
