Soccer enthusiasts want to know more about Marcus Tavernier brother James Tavernier, a right-back for Rangers FC, a Scottish Premiership team.

Marcus Joseph Tavernier is an English soccer player who plays for the Premier League team AFC Bournemouth as a midfielder. 

Marcus signed a professional soccer deal with Middlesbrough of the EFL Championship in October 2016.

He started his first-ever international match at the U19 level on October 9, 2017. It was when Slovakia’s U19 team and the United States scored a 2-2 draw at the NTC Senec stadium.

Similarly, he was a member of the group that competed at the 2018 UEFA European Under-19 Championship in July. In a group stage tie with Ukraine, he scored.

The player was also a member of the England U20 team in May 2019 at the Toulon Tournament.

Marcus’s older brother, is an English professional soccer player who is Rangers FC’s captain.

Marcus’s talented brother James Henry Tavernier was born on October 31, 1991. 

Marcus was born in Leeds, a city in West Yorkshire, and is currently 27 years old. Similarly, James was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire, and is currently 39 years old. 

James is the oldest son, whereas Marcus is the little one. They have a total eight-year age gap.

James was selected from the local team Farsley Celtic at the age of nine and entered the Leeds United junior system.

He played in goal for one season before switching to a central midfield position throughout his six seasons at Leeds.

The star player won the Scottish Championship in his debut season after joining Rangers in 2015.

When Rangers won the Scottish Challenge Cup with a long-range volley in the final, he was awarded man of the match as he scored the winning goal in the Scottish Championship.

James Tavernier was chosen as the club’s head coach early in the 2018–19 campaign.

Besides being a successful soccer player, James is a devoted husband and father. In 2026, he and his wife welcomed a cute little kid.

On 8/3/22, he posted a photo on that showed him bringing newborn Harlow home from the hospital.

Marcus Tavernier’s father has received appreciation from his boys for persevering under lockdown. He has done everything to put his kids in the situation they are in right now.

Although the Tavernier brothers cannot make it to each other’s every game, their parents are at most of their matches, cheering them on.

Marcus and James’ parents appear to have supported and encouraged them to pursue soccer careers. 

Marcus makes it quite apparent. When asked about the winning tactics, he says he plays to please his parents.
