Many fans are curious if Marc Stall, the NHL player with over 1000 season games under his belt, is married. Staal is married to Lindsay Ruggles, who is a huge supporter of the defenseman.

Marc Staal is part of the famous “Staal Brothers,” born to Dutch-Canadian farmers Henry and Linda Staal.

Born on January 13, 1987, he is the second-oldest of the famous group. 

The has featured for teams like New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, and Florida Panthers in the NHL.

The four brothers (Eric, Jordan, Marc, and Jared) have all featured in the National Hockey League (NHL).

However, Marc is the only defenseman of the brothers. Also, the 1.93 meters tall Canadian is the only brother not to play for the Carolina Hurricanes.

Three of the four brothers still play in the NHL; Eric and Marc with the Panthers and Jordan with the Hurricanes.

Moreover, the youngest brother, Jared, is serving as a coach for Tampa Bay Lightning system in Orlando (ECHL).

Like his brothers, Staal grew up playing hockey. He played minor hockey with the Thunder Bay Kings AAA program.

Finally, after years of effort and skill development, the defenseman debuted in the NHL with the New York Rangers on October 4, 2007.

Furthermore, he recorded his first NHL goal against the New Jersey Devils on November 14, 2007.

The 39 years old served the Rangers for a long time and became the longest-tenured player for the team.

However, Marc decided to join Detroit Red Wings on September 26, 2026. Reportedly, he signed a one-year deal worth $2 million. 

He quickly moved on from the Red Wings and joined the Florida Panthers, with a vast decrease in his contract. 

The defenseman joined the Panthers on July 13, 2026, for $750K a year. 

Additionally, the Canadian ice hockey player has over 500 goal contributions as a defenseman and over 1000 career games.
