Rogers Winbush calls out poor coaching at West Orange-Stark Middle School football, sparking parents’ demands for change to protect kids and improve the team.
Rogers Winbush shared his thoughts on the troubles at West Orange-Stark Middle School in Orange, Texas.
He’s feeling emotional about the middle school football team and posted that he doesn’t ask for much, but the kids deserve better coaches.
Rogers says the players are facing abuse because of a lack of good coaching, and it’s just not right.
His post made grand waves online, and people started chiming in right away.
Marvin Wayne Elmore Jr. replied that he’s watching the West Orange-Stark team struggle in real time, calling it a sad sight.
He mentioned a recent loss to Nederland, saying they used to crush them by a ton back in the day.
He’s wondering if other teams are catching up, if there’s not enough talent, or if coaching’s the problem.
Marvin admitted that he’s on the outside looking in but just wants to know what’s going on, saying:
I’m from the outside looking in so I have no opinion on anything I just want to know what is going on man ?
Another commenter, Elboney Robinson, agreed big time, yelling “YES MIDDLE SCHOOL!” in all caps.
Derrick J. Ledet called the latest loss crazy and said it doesn’t make sense for the kids to go down like that.
Erick Guillory Sr. had some strong words, questioning why they don’t bring back kids who know the Mustang system inside out.
He’s fed up with outsiders rushing in at the last minute. He also mentioned that eight years ago, the Lil Mustangs group fundraised hard to purchase new gear for volleyball, football, basketball, and track at the junior high.
Similarly, Erick also named folks like himself, Linda Bryant Platt, Mavis, and Tara Williams, who busted their tails getting those uniforms.
He gave a shout-out to Tony Dallas and Nancy Dallas for covering the football jerseys, and now he’s asking where all that stuff even is.
While Ke Richard suggested starting a big brother movement to help out.
The comments show a bunch of parents and locals fired up, all pushing for changes to protect the kids and get the team back on track.
