Kelly Middaugh was raised in a family deeply rooted in the sport. Curling runs in their blood, as both her parents have achieved significant success in the sport.
Her father, Wayne, boasts an impressive record as a three-time world champion, a feat unmatched by anyone else, having won titles in three different positions.
Her mother, Sherry Middaugh, has also left her mark in curling. She has five Ontario championship wins and one Saskatchewan championship to her name.
Born on August 2, 1999, in Victoria Harbour, Ontario, Canada, Kelly currently serves as the lead on Team Laurie St-Georges at Algonquin College.

After high school, Kelly attended Wilfrid Laurier University, where she excelled in curling.
Representing the Golden Hawks, she achieved notable success, including a fifth-place finish in the U Sports tournament and recognition as a first-team All-Canadian.
During her time at Wilfrid Laurier University, Kelly competed in two U Sports/Curling Canada University Curling Championships.
In addition to her curling pursuits, Kelly obtained her undergraduate degree in Global Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University before joining Algonquin College.

grew up in a family of athletes. Both of her parents, Wayne and Sherry, were former curlers, and Kelly’s younger sister, Emily, is also involved in curling like the rest of the family.
Her mother, Sherry Middaugh, is a Victoria Harbour, Ontario curler. She has achieved significant success in curling. She has won the Ontario championship five times and the Saskatchewan championship once.
Originally from Saskatchewan, Middaugh won the 1986 Saskatchewan Junior Women’s Championship and represented the province at the 1986 Canadian Junior Women’s Curling Championship, where she tied for fourth place with a record of 6–4.

Outside of curling, Middaugh is an entrepreneur, owning her own 4M Home & Garden company.
She is married to fellow curler Wayne Middaugh, who holds a unique record in curling as the only player to have won the Canadian Men’s Curling Championship (Brier) in three different positions: skip (1998), third (2012) and second (1993).
Robert Wayne Middaugh, born on September 20, 1967, in Brampton, Ontario, resides in Victoria Harbour, Ontario, with Sherry.
He is the general manager at the Port Carling Golf & Country Club and a PGA of Canada golf professional.
Kelly Middaugh’s Sister Emily Middaugh
Following the family tradition, Kelly’s sister Emily, who is currently 20 years old and four years younger than Kelly, has embraced curling enthusiastically.
She is a member of a U21 Ontario team and recently achieved victory at the Junior Curling Cup.

Prior to pursuing curling, Emily explored various other sports to discover her interests.
However, the warm and inviting atmosphere of the curling community ultimately drew her in, making it irresistible not to continue the family legacy.
