Andrew Nembhard, a Canadian professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the NBA, comes from a family with an athletic background, as his parents are both former athletes, and his brother is a rising basketball star.

The Indiana Pacers star, Andrew William Nembhard, was born on January 16, 2000, in Aurora, Ontario, Canada, to parents Claude and Mary Nembhard, both former athletes.

Andrew’s father, Claude Nembhard, CEO of the Ontario Basketball Association, is a former basketball player who played at York Mills Collegiate Institute and served as the coach of the Vaughan Panthers Rep team affiliated with the Vaughan Basketball Association.

Similarly, his mother, Mary Nembhard, played basketball in neighborhood leagues and coached elementary-aged teams.

Claude and Mary instilled a love and passion for basketball in both Andrew Nembhard and his younger brother, Ryan Nembhard, from a very young age.

Like his older brother, Andrew Nembhard, Ryan Nembhard is also excelling in his basketball journey and aims to join him in the NBA.

Born on March 10, 2003, Ryan Nembhard showcased his exceptional basketball skills playing college basketball for the Creighton Bluejays and Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Now, Ryan is aiming to pursue his professional journey and workouts scheduled with more than 15 NBA teams, including the Phoenix Suns.

began his basketball journey from a very young age and attended his brother Andrew Nembhard’s alma mater, Montverde Academy, where he led his team to the GEICO High School National Championship as a senior.

A highly ranked player, Ryan was listed as the 68th best recruit in the RSCI Top 100 in 2026.

Furthermore, Ryan committed to play college basketball for Creighton in June 2026, and in his college debut in 2026 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, he posted 15 points and 10 assists in a 90-77 win.

He also led Creighton to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

During his tenure from 2026 to 2026 at Creighton, Ryan Nembhard won several honorable titles, including Big East Freshman of the Year, six times Big East Freshman of the Week, Creighton Male Rookie of the Year, Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team, and many more.

Ryan further transferred to Gonzaga in 2026. In his junior season 2026-24, Ryan won All-conference first team, set the single-season assist record with 243 total, and started all 35 games.

In the 2026-25 season at Gonzaga, he averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game, concluding his collegiate career, and was also named to the Bob Cousy Award watch list.

Ryan Nembhard also represented Canada in several international competitions, including the 2019 FIBA U-16 Americas Championship in Brazil, where he averaged 14.3 points, 9 assists, and 2 steals per game and won the silver medal.

He also represented Canada in the 2026 FIBA U-19 Basketball World Cup in Latvia, leading his team to the bronze medal.
