Golden Richards Wife: A late American professional football player, Golden Richards married three times in his lifetime and has two kids.

Despite having a wonderful career in the sports world, he went through several controversies and traumas, including three divorces. 

However, he was survived by his sons, Goldie Jr and Jordan, at the time of his passing on February 23, 2026.

John Golden Richards, aka Golden Richards (December 31, 1950 – February 23, 2026), was a famous American football player known for being a in the National Football League (NFL) with the Dallas Cowboys and the Chicago Bears.

The 6 feet 1 inches tall football player started his career when the Dallas Cowboys picked him back in 1973, showing his great speed and agility, especially in the NFC Championship against the Minnesota Vikings, where he scored a crucial touchdown.

Likewise, the football star played well as a starting player for the Cowboys, showing off his talent with amazing catches and touchdowns. His peak came during Super Bowl XII when he made a memorable 29-yard pass for the Cowboys’ win.

Late Golden Richards never talked much about his matters on any platforms; however, he reportedly married thrice, and all his marriages ended in sad divorces. 

Though Richards never disclosed much about his married life and relationship, he had heart-wrenching stories about his love life.

Golden was not married at the time of his death. Neither the football player made news headlines for any kind of relationship or romantic affairs.

Previously, he married Barbara Johnson as his first wife. Johnson was his high school sweetheart, whom he married after some years of dating.

Their married life ended in March 1984 without sharing any child.

As per the reports, Golden’s drug addiction was the main reason behind their separation. 

Also, Barbara revealed during an interview that she tried her best to get him out of his addiction, but he was too much into it and turned her down later. 

Also, she disclosed about being the bad person in his life by stopping him from taking drugs.

Moving on, the former NFL player married another woman after divorcing his first wife, Barabara. Sadly, the details of his second wife and their married life remain a mystery.

However, some online closets have revealed that Richards ended his second marriage after many ugly fights with her.

Also, the pair didn’t share any child, as there is no data on their biological children.

Two Sons With Third Wife

The Superbowl Champion XII reportedly married Amy in 1995 as his third wife. They welcomed two lovely children named Goldie Jr. and Jordan.

Just like his previous marriages, his third marriage also collapsed. However, the exact cause of their separation is behind the curtain.

Though not mentioned officially, he may have been a responsible father to his sons. Maintaining a low-key profile, neither his third wife nor their kids have made active public appearances.

Coming to his personal life, Golden was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the year 2011.

Sadly, he February 23, 2026, in his home in Utah after congestive heart failure. His sons and family members remained by his side at his last breath.
