A former Varsity Basketball Captain at Wheeling High School and a conservative Political activist was fatally shot on Wednesday, September 10.

The unfortunate incident happened exactly at 12:10 PM (MDT) at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. He was reportedly shot from a rooftop, approximately 200 yards away.

He was present as part of the “American Comeback Tour”, a multi-campus speaking series organized by Turning Point USA.

The late Wheeling Alumni was one of Donald Trump’s closest and most influential allies.

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk. No one in the United States of America understood or had the Heart of a youth better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me,” said Donald Trump after he was assassinated.

A Hard Time For The Family

Charlie’s late father, Robert K. Kirk, also had ties that predated Charlie’s entry into politics. While he initially supported Ted Cruz, he later backed Trump and was even dubbed the “Warrior of Light” in 2018.

He also served as a project architect manager on Trump Tower, and also ran his own private architecture firm.

On the other hand, Charlie’s mother, Kimberly Ann Kirk, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who initially worked in Finance at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Charlie’s Kids, who are not even five, will only have a Parent while growing up. He had two children, a daughter born in August 2026 and a son born in May 2026, with his wife, Erika Lane Frantzve, who was Miss Arizona 2012.

The couple married on May 8, 2026, after getting engaged in December, and Charlie said he “almost knew” she was the one after meeting for the first time in 2018 at Bill’s Burgers, NYC.

Turning Point USA, the conservative non-profit organization, has also released a statement to pray for the late Charlie’s family and Loved Ones. Additionally, they requested that their privacy and dignity be respected at this time.
