Former Student-Athlete Todd Morici Jr.’s Tragic Skateboarding Death Stuns Montclair Kimberley Academy Community

Todd Morici Jr., a cherished son, brother, friend, and athlete, tragically passed away in a skateboarding accident, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and heroism.

Todd, known as an “MKA Lifer,” graduated from Montclair Kimberley Academy (MKA) in 2013. His smile and lively personality touched many lives.

His sudden death has deeply affected his family, friends, and the MKA community.

Todd Morici Jr. was born in Saddle River, New Jersey, to Mary Lynn and Todd Morici Sr., a retired automobile fund manager and collector car dealer.

Morici Jr. was raised alongside his sister Meghan and brother Drew; Todd grew up with a deep love for life and a passion for automobiles, which he inherited from his father.

After graduating from MKA, .

He studied business finance at High Point University in 2014 before transferring to Palm Beach Atlantic University’s Rinker School of Business in 2017.

Following his studies, Todd settled in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he worked as a business representative at Morici Motorsports from 2012 until his passing.

Todd Was Known By His Friends As A “Total Gamer,” A Strong Athlete, And A Funny Person Who Could Lighten Any Room

In the midst of this tragedy, Todd’s dedication to helping others shone through. His classmate and friend Rob Pannullo ’13 shared a touching tribute:

“Todd was a source of laughter and a smile to everyone he met — he was a jokester, a fantastic athlete, and an incredible friend who always wanted to help other people. Todd’s dedication to helping others is embodied so perfectly in the midst of his passing, as his organs will be donated and saving the lives of 8 people in desperate need of those organs. Todd will be dying a hero for them.”

Even in death, Todd became a hero, giving others a second chance at life.

News of Todd’s accident spread quickly on social media, shocking everyone who knew him.

“I was lucky enough to go to middle school, high school and even some of college with Todd. He will be dearly missed.”

Todd’s Mother Requested The Community To Share Details About The Arrangements For Paying Respects

A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Marrocco Memorial Chapel, located at 470 Colfax Avenue in Clifton, New Jersey.

A funeral mass will be held at Saint Philip the Apostle Parish, 797 Valley Road, Clifton, on Monday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m.

A funeral and repast will follow, offering a chance for loved ones to gather and honor Todd’s memory.

The death of Todd Morici has deeply affected everyone who knew him.

From his days as a standout athlete at MKA to his adventurous spirit on a skateboard, Todd lived with a zest that inspired others.

His passion for automobiles, unwavering loyalty to his friends, and infectious sense of humor will never be forgotten.

Survived by his parents, Mary Lynn and Todd Morici Sr., and his siblings Meghan and Drew.

Todd’s spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched and the eight lives he saved through organ donation.

As the MKA community and beyond mourn this tremendous loss, they hold tight to the memories of a young man who made every day brighter.
