Longtime principal of Wayne Valley High School, Kenneth J Palczewski, passed away at the age of 58, leaving his beloved wife, Maureen, and their children.

With profound sadness, Wayne Township Public Schools announces the passing of Principal Ken Palczewski, a dedicated educator, compassionate leader, and beloved member of our community. 

Known as Coach P or Mr. P, Ken began his career as a teacher and coach and later transitioned into administration.

His leadership journey led him to serve as an assistant principal at Wayne Hills High School for five years (2008-2013) before becoming the principal in September 2013.

Regarding his playing career, as a forward for La Salle University.

Over his career, he appeared in 65 games, averaging 0.9 points and 0.9 rebounds per game, with a 42.2% field goal percentage.

While the exact number of seasons he played isn’t explicitly stated, most collegiate basketball careers typically span four years.

Additionally, before his basketball career, he quarterbacked the Patriots football team for some time.

While his statistical contributions were modest, his experience in competitive basketball likely shaped his leadership skills. Later, he coached high school basketball and softball.
