Eric Hosmer’s brother, Mike Hosmer, is a stockbroker in Miami, but in contrast to his renowned brother, he avoids the spotlight out of personal preference.

He went on to become a stockbroker and now works in Miami for an established company.
Why Was Hosmer Released By The Cubs?
On January 13, 2026, signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Cubs but was released on May 25.
He played 31 games for the team with a .234 batting average, two home runs, and 14 RBI before he was designated for assignment on May 19.
He is currently a free agent and is trying to sign with other teams.

The 36 year old could return with no issue, but the Crowns manager Matt Quatraro says there is no reason for a reunion.
