Mike Evans has a half-brother called Donnavan Walker and a younger sister named Kia L Evans. Kia and Mike are only a year apart.

The siblings’ Mike and Kia, faced tumultuous childhood. From being woken up to the news of their father’s murder to having celebrated making it to the NFL, the sibling duo shares a tight-knit bond.

Their mom was a victim of their dad’s physical abuse, and later in her life, married another man with whom she shares her son Doonavan Walker.

The Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans has shined with his team since being drafted in 2014. He won the 2026 Super Bowl with legendary teammate and is widely considered one of the best in his position.

But soon, his association with the Buccaneers might end, as there are rumors of him being traded to the Indianapolis Colts.

Recently, his draft-class mate, , even included him in the list of top 5 wide receivers in the NFL.

Mike Evans grew up without a brother, but he had a little sister by his side. Kia L Evans was born on June 16, 1994, a year after Mike. 

Mike, 9, and Kia, 8, hadn’t even hit double-digits in age before understanding that their father was murdered. They were woken up by police officers at night who told them there was a dead man out on the road. 

Since that night in 2002, the sibling duo has moved on in their lives for good. Kia is now a mother of two and is raising her family with her husband, Scott Nolan.

The younger sister of Mike Evans had her first child, Kennedy, in 2026, and two years later had her second child, Jordan. The mother of two, Kia, has shared several pictures of her kids on her . 

Kia is also seen on making videos with her kids. One time with Kennedy in her arms, Kia gave her TikTok followers a quick tour of their home. 

As Kia didn’t grow up without her father, it does look like she misses him time and again.

Last year in October, Kia, on her Facebook handle, shared a now-deleted TikTok video with the caption saying those who have dads should feel blessed no matter the issues one has with them. 

Mike Evans Parents: Heather Kilgore And Mike Evans Jr 

Mike Evans was born to parents Heather Kilgore and Mike Evans Jr in Galveston, Texas. The NFL star didn’t have the best childhood growing up. 

His father was in and out of jail and would beat up his mother, Heather Kilgore. When Mike was five, his dad was prisoned for three years for a felony assault on his mom.

After serving his time, Mike Evans Jr, also known as Mickey, didn’t change his old habits. A month after returning, he was sent back to jail for assaulting Heather.

This continued until 2002, when Heather’s brother, Sam, took matters into his own hand and shot Mickey, and later stabbed him. 

Sam was sentenced to 38 years for the murder of Mickey Evans. After his father’s demise, Evans found Terry Petteway, a constable who played a role of a father in his life. 

After years of physical and mental abuse, Heather decided it was best to start a new life.

She was only 14 when she had Mike and never really got live her life. Trey Walker is her second partner, and the two have a son, Donnavan Walker.
