Kee Kee took to Facebook last night to share what felt like a really tough and unfair ending to the game for the Choctaw Jr. High Boys basketball team.

In his post, he explained how the team ended up losing 34-32, but what bothered him the most was something that happened during the game that he believes should’ve been called differently by the referees.

According to what Kee Kee described, one of the coaches on the other team actually grabbed the basketball and just held onto it for a while because he was upset about something in the game.

Kee Kee felt this was clearly done out of frustration, almost like the coach was trying to stop play on purpose because he didn’t like how things were going.

Likewise, he pointed out that the referees standing right there watching never called a technical foul on the coach for doing that. He wrote:

How can a coach grab the ball and just hold the ball during the game cause he’s mad, and the refs not call a technical foul!!?

To him and many parents who were there, it looked like the officials simply let it go, even though holding the ball like that is not allowed and usually brings a penalty.

Because of that moment and a few other calls that didn’t go their way, Kee Kee said the Choctaw boys lost to the referees just as much as they lost to the other team.

Above all, he even mentioned how some of the officials were smiling afterward.

He wrote that nobody should cheat kids out of a fair chance to win a game just because a grown man can’t handle taking a loss.

Even though the score ended up 34-32 against them, Kee Kee wanted everyone to know how proud he still is of this group of young players.

He finished his post by saying it was a great season overall for the Jr. High Boys team and reminded everyone that they will always be Forever a Choctaw.
