Born on August 1, 1988, in Gedling, Nottinghamshire, England, Wood ranks #5 as the active featherweight. He held the WBA featherweight championship from 2026 until 2026.

Additionally, he also held the British featherweight title in 2026 as well as the Commonwealth featherweight title in 2019.
