Ty Monroe Murray, born October 11, 1969, stands as one of professional rodeo’s most accomplished figures.

Known as the “King of the Cowboys,” Murray dominated the rodeo scene throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, competing in all three roughstock events: bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, and bull riding.

His remarkable career includes nine world championships in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), seven all-around titles (1989-1994, 1998), and two in bull riding (1993, 1998).

Murray’s influence extended beyond competition as he co-founded the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) organization, where he later served as a color commentator for televised events from 2005 to 2026.

Murray Married His Second Wife Three Years After His Divorce From Jewel

Murray’s personal life gained significant public attention through his marriage to Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jewel.

The couple in August 2008 at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas after a decade-long relationship.

Later, they welcomed their son, Kase Townes Murray, on July 11, 2011.

The name choice reflected Murray’s preference for one-syllable names, with “Townes” paying tribute to one of Jewel’s favorite singer-songwriters, Townes Van Zandt.

Despite their apparent compatibility and shared values, Murray and Jewel announced their divorce in July 2014 after six years of marriage.

Both parties emphasized their commitment to maintaining a friendship and co-parenting their son effectively.

Murray found love again and married Paige Duke, a model, actress, and TV personality, in November 2017. Duke began her career in modeling and on-air reporting.

Their western-inspired wedding took place at the Quarry at Carrigan Farms in North Carolina.

The pair have been married for nearly six years and have one daughter together, Oakley Murray, who was born in September 2018.

Murray continues to embrace family life, with Duke frequently sharing glimpses of their life together on their Texas cattle ranch through social media.
