Tiffany Keidel, a 30-year-old mother of a cheerleader with Hillsboro Youth Football and Cheer (HYF), passed away in a car accident on State Route 32 in Eagle Township, Brown County.
On Wednesday morning, September 10, 2026, a heartbreaking accident shook the Hillsboro community. Tiffany Keidel, a mother of a cheerleader, lost her life in a car crash.
Her young daughter, who was also in the car, was seriously injured and airlifted to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for treatment. She reportedly suffered broken bones in both legs and arms.
The crash happened around 8:09 a.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Reportedly, Tiffany was driving a 2018 Kia Sportage north on Tri-County Highway, crossing State Route 32. At the same time, a tractor-trailer was heading west on State Route 32.
Police said Tiffany didn’t stop at the intersection, and the tractor-trailer crashed into her car.
The impact sent both vehicles off the road, across the median, and into the eastbound lanes before they came to a stop on the grassy shoulder.
Tragically, Tiffany was at the scene. Her daughter, whose name hasn’t been released, was flown to the hospital with serious injuries.
Likewise, the driver of the tractor-trailer was also taken to a nearby hospital but only had minor injuries.
According to the police, everyone involved was wearing seat belts.
Following the tragic accident, several agencies rushed to help, including EJFED Fire and EMS, Mt. Orab Fire Department, Adams County EMS, the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, and the Brown County Coroner’s Office.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Georgetown Post is still investigating the crash.
Following the tragic accident, the Hillsboro Youth Football and Cheer organization shared the devastating news in a heartfelt post on social media, writing:
As some of you may have heard a mom of one of our cheerleaders passed away today in a tragic car accident, and the child is still in the hospital with injuries sustained in the accident.
They asked the community to keep the Keidel family in their prayers during this difficult time.
Likewise, HYF also revealed that they are stepping up to support the family by setting up donation jars at their game this Saturday.
They’re also holding a 50/50 split-the-pot fundraiser, with all the money going directly to the Keidel family to help them through this tragedy.
During this difficult time, we pray for the strength of the Keidel family.
Rest In Heavenly Peace, Tiffany Keidel!
