A passionate golfer, Matthew “Bernie” Bernhardt tragically passed away at the age of 19.
Matthew “Bernie” Bernhardt was born on January 5, 2006, in Towson, Maryland, to his father, Trey, and his mother, Jo’z Bernhardt.
He also shared a close bond with his grandparents, Velda and Carl Bernhardt.
Bernhardt was a from Loyola-Blakefield High School in Baltimore, Maryland, and a member of the Class of 2026.
Standing 5 feet 3 inches and weighing 100 pounds, Bernhardt competed as a dedicated student-athlete in the Loyola-Blakefield golf program, representing a school known for its strong academic and athletic tradition.

As per the sources, a golfer at Loyola-Blakefield High School passed away on Monday, December 22, 2026, at the age of 19.
However, the cause of death has not been revealed yet.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2026, at 11 am at Evans Monkton.
Interment will conclude services at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Loyola Golf Program and/or Epilepsy Foundation
He will always be remembered for his unforgettable contributions as a golfer at Loyola-Blakefield High School.
