Former Odessa HS Athlete Chase Davis, 23, Passes Away Leaving His Family

Chase Davis of Odessa High School has tragically passed away, leaving everyone devastated.

Davis was a former high school football player from Odessa, Missouri. He attended Odessa High School, where he was part of the varsity football program and graduated with the Class of 2026.

During his time on the team, he as a wide receiver and free safety, wearing jersey number 80.

Davis was first added to the Odessa football roster in October 2017 and remained involved with the program throughout his high school career.

As a two-way player, he was utilized both on offense and defense, showcasing athletic ability.

Off the field, Davis was listed as having grown up and lived in Odessa, Missouri, where he completed his education.

His high school experience centered around academics and athletics, particularly football, where he represented his school as a student-athlete before graduating in 2026.

Odessa Community is Mourning the Tragic Death of Chase Davis

The sources confirmed that Chase Davis, a former athlete of Odessa High School, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at the age of 23.

Jenny Adams from Odessa, Missouri, took to the official Facebook handle to announce the tragic news.

Man my heart hurts so bad! I love you so much! It’s not supposed to be this way. I miss you so much! What I would do just to see you & hear your voice again. Love you so BIG Chase Davis!

Don Van Black took to the comment section and mourned the death of Chase.

We just learned of this tragedy, please let us know if you and the family need anything! Our hearts are broken and praying for God’s presence and help with this sadness!!!

Heather Fisher Gross, a superintendent at Crest Ridge R-VII School District, wrote,

Jenny my heart is broken for you. We are praying for you and all of your family. Praying that the precious memories you have of Chase will sustain you and bring comfort and peace.

Brandon Meador of Kansas City, Missouri, wrote,

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family Jenny. 🙏🏻 Chase was a light when around him. My heart hurts for you all

Other close ones and relatives have also offered their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Chase’s family to stay strong in this difficult time.

As per Chase’s family, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Interment will be in the Odessa City Cemetery.

He will always be remembered for his contributions as an athlete at Odessa High School.
